Children's Ministry Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
We want to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the love of Christ flourish in our community. We desire to encourage preschoolers through 6th graders (to follow Christ completely), equip individuals & families (with leadership and resources), and empower volunteers (to make a difference).

Located in Liverpool, our church is densely surrounded by neighborhoods of young families. We are excited for the outreach possibilities and potential for new children's programs. Our vision is to create a fun, safe and welcoming space where volunteers and children can know Jesus and grow in their faith.
IF YOU ARE…
-A Christ-follower maintaining a healthy spiritual relationship with Christ; frequently meeting with Him and fellow-believers.
-Someone who loves the Word of God and has a good understanding of the Bible and Biblical principles.
-Someone who loves serving others and can lead by example.
-Sympathetic to the beliefs of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
-Gifted, experienced, and still willing to grow in the areas of communication, leadership, innovation, and volunteer development.
AND WANT TO…
SHEPHERD CHILDREN’S SPIRITUAL GROWTH
-Oversee all kids activities (Preschool, Sunday School, Redco (midweek), VBS, Special Events, etc.)
-Curate events to engage kids with the Gospel and enable volunteers to make an impact.
-Be present and purposeful amongst kids, families, and volunteers.
STEWARD AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT
-Bring purpose, creativity, organization, relevance, and excitement to all kid’s areas and activities.
-Develop and implement security and safety for all kid’s events and programs.
-Oversee children's ministry programs budget and spending.
-Work with church leadership to develop outreach opportunities.
-Praying regularly for each child and member of the volunteer staff.
BUILD A FRUITFUL MINISTRY
-Recruit, Resource, and Release volunteers in kid’s ministry.
-Discover and Develop leaders throughout kid’s ministry.
-Communicate and Coordinate regularly with leadership team, volunteers, and congregation about needs and progress.
-Shepherd and Support families as they follow Christ together.
-Participate in church events and worship services.
-Report regularly to the lead pastor.

Job Type: Part-time (20 hrs/week)
Pay: $20/hr
Work Location: In person; ability to commute/relocate to Syracuse, NY (required)
